US poly geotags coming along
May 19th, 2008. Posted in KoordinatesCraig’s been working on our US geotag heirarchy. Here’s Brazos County in Texas correctly geotagged with its name:
These polygon-based geotags are automatically calculated for every layer created on Koordinates.
US cities, towns and urban areas are proving trickier as the US Census Bureau has interesting ways of grouping their census results. We’ll be spending a bit of time on that problem in the future.
